"Alex is AMAZING! There's no high enough praise I could offer for this wonderful professional speech therapist. I found Alex on Yelp and called her to learn more about her after my son's teacher suggested she would have the school speech pathologist listen to him. He's 5 1/2 yrs old and in kindergarten, and I wanted a 2nd opinion. In our very first conversation, her warmth, expertise, and graciousness came through so clearly. She spoke to me for a half an hour, basically diagnosed him based on my description of what was going on (he had a lateral lisp), and suggested that the school would have to offer speech therapy at no cost to me.
She also offered to spend a half hour talking with him, free of charge, just in case I still was not fully on board with simply going through his school. At the end of that first meeting, she guided me on how to make sure the school would treat my son, but he developed an attachment to Alex right away and really loved being with her that it made sense to me to keep him in a happy environment to do his therapy, so we chose Alex over the school therapy.
A mere month or so later, he speaks perfectly clearly, and has had the best time getting to this point. He LOVES seeing Alex, and even though I told him he'd be graduating soon, he asked to still go see her every week to say hi! It has been such an incredible experience for all of us--there's nothing like seeing your child work hard because he's encouraged to do so in such a warmly positive way. It's abundantly clear that Alex loves her job, loves working with children, and is constantly trying to find ways to engage and make it fun. If you have any concerns about your child's speech, RUN to Alex, you will be so happy you did!!"

"I can not say enough about Alex. She is truly one of a kind. She was my daughter's speech therapist in the public schools, and she far exceeded my hopes. Alex looks at the "whole child," and structured the goals towards growing my daughter as a person, as an independent thinker, and a self-sufficient young lady, all while centered around advancing her speech skills. In the IEP discussions at school, she was an active participant, and a true leader in terms of looking out for all of my daughter's goals. She had a voice and influence in all dimensions of the process.
Alex always went above and beyond, offering practical and fun...and highly relevant paths for my daughter. Oh...and her speech has improved, too. Yes, I can not more enthusiastically recommend Alex!"

"Alex is the best!!! She has worked with my son who has Autism and Tourettes for the past five years in the pubic schools in San Carlos. My son has had many issues with speech and Alex has been able to correct them all with very imaginative teaching. She is able to see what his interest are and focus her educational plan on that. Even though this was lessons for my son, he loved going to see her as it was very enjoyable for him and never seemed like a class lesson to him. He benefited greatly from all of her efforts with new games, social interacting with other students and setting up play dates after school. Not to mention she is a great speech teacher!!! My son has made a special bond with Alex that he has not had with any other teacher. He loves going to her class and spending time with her and other kids once a week for lunch. She creates the lunch bunch for the kids, so she can help facilitate conversations during that time. Alex is a very caring and loving teacher that gives her all to her students all of the time. She emails me with update and searches out activities for him to do outside of school. She has worked with him on his IEP goals to help him achieve them. And has also been a very intricate part of his IEP team. I honestly can say that the major part of my son's success is because of Alex.
Alex has also been a big help with my daughter. She worked with her for four years and did a fantastic job. Her speech is now clear and at grade level She has also had a big impact in her life as well.
I can't say enough about Alex. She has been a big part of my children's life at school and has all ways done the best job I have ever seen. She is a truly great professional and excellent teacher that always goes the extra mile for her students."

Alex had worked with my son, who has Cerebral Palsy for two years. He had lots of issues with his speech. When she started seeing him he wasn't able to pronounce some sounds and was excessively protruding his tongue when trying to say the "L" sound. In just a few months working with Alex, my son started pronouncing the "L" well, with no protrusion. Now he can pronounce all the sounds. Alex also arranged for my son to make a Stuttering Presentation in front of the other kids at school. That was a great initiative, because my son was so proud and excited to do it (actually talked very smoothly during the presentation), and because the other kids were able to understand more about stuttering, what it feels like, try to do it, thus getting a better understanding of the problem and the kids with stuttering issues.
Alex taught my son what techniques to use to make stuttering less bothering. Alex is always very nice and friendly, treats her kids with love, belief, and dedication. She organized a few parties fro my son for different occasions. She always kept a good communication with me. She updated me about problems or progresses; always took into consideration my worries; responded to me emails promptly. She is lots of fun, her kids love her and are willing to work with her."

"Alex was the speech and language therapist for my son from 6th to 8th grade at his middle school in San Carlos. She was bright, creative, knowledgeable, engaging, enthusiastic, and very effective. Alex developed a great rapport with my son and worked out a number of effective strategies to develop his conversational and social skills. For example, Alex would ask my wife and I for information and photos about what he would do over the weekend. She turned them into conversation starters and leading questions, and also shared them with my son's teachers, which multiplied the effectiveness.
Alex also was very good at keeping us in the loop about what she was working on and how we could help, and suggested resources for us. My son made great advances with Alex; last year she cheered his performance in his elective acting class. We are grateful for her work and recommend her extremely highly."

"I can't say enough positive things about Alex. She has worked with my son in the public school setting. She has taught him techniques to use with his speech and helped build his confidence. My son has made great progress and feels good about talking in front of the class! Huge win for us! She is patient and kind and always thinking outside the box on ways to help and develop the speech language. Alex goes above and beyond and is highly recommended!"

For four years, Alex was my son's speech therapist. He has a number of issues, primarily apraxia and is also on the autism spectrum. Alex's enthusiasm is contagious and my son LOVED going to speech. She thought of new ways to encourage him to speak, develop relationships and engage others in his activities at school, at home and out in public. Alex actively uses both old techniques and new technologies to improve linguistic and social functioning. Most importantly, she collaborates with teachers, family, staff and other students to increase a child's interactions with all. I wish every child was fortunate enough to have Alex as a therapist- she is absolutely fabulous!
